I did a little searching because I didn’t know, and huh. The creator of OFF reading Homestuck, huh? Although, I am once again struck dumb by the amount of people saying things in the notes like “oh no” and “NOOOOO” and shit like that. Are you even serious right now? You’re legitimately upset because a person you like is reading a webcomic? WHY? No, I’m dead serious- indulge me, really. Give me an actual, legitimate reason you are opposed to the idea of a person reading and enjoying something of their own free will. Go on. I’m waiting.
The fans, perhaps? The old “homestuck fans are the worst” argument? No dice. Yes there are asshole homestucks- same as there are asshole superwholocks, asshole avengers fans, even asshole hetalia fans. Belonging to a fandom does not make you an asshole; being an asshole makes you an asshole.

Fine, great- you’re entitled to it, and I’m not being sarcastic here- you really are. Same as I’m entitled to tell you to fuck right off if you want to tell someone else not to enjoy themselves on the basis of you not liking a thing. That sort of logic is just idiotic and by definition not logical.
Other than that, I seriously can’t think of a reason people hate Homestuck so much? I feel like the fandom gets way more hate than it deserves. Other than being a large fandom and thus spawning a lot of content you accidentally see on occasion- as any large fandom does- what basis do you have to hate Homestuck before even reading it? And beyond that, what basis do you have to hate other people enjoying it?
If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. It’s so simple. Just don’t say unnecessary negative things like a raging fucktrumpet, it’s not hard. Really.
